Top Tourist Destinations of Pakistan


Pakistan is one of the most beautiful country in the world. Pakistan has been blessed with so many natural places, ranging from deserts to the world’s second highest peak, K2. There are lakes, glaciers, green valleys, flowing rivers, green meadows, steep slopes and mountains. With so much natural beauty, it is no wonder that Pakistan is one of the most popular tourist destinations for tourist all over.

You should have to visit these places at least once in a life. Few of them are as below


Fairy Meadows is located in Skardu. Fairy Meadows is a lush green meadows. The view of Nanga Parbat from Fairy Medows is wonderful. Legend says that this is fairies’ heaven. You can reach to Fairy Medows via Jeep. However, at one point jeeps cannot go further. You have to walk or ride a horse to reach Fairy Meadows. You can do camping or stay in cottages built for the tourists.

The best time to visit Fairy Medows is April to August.

The second highest mountain in the world is K2. The height of K2 is 8,611 metres. Every year, passionate tourists travel from all parts of the world to visit the K2 Base Camp. Tourist reache the Base Camp after a trek of 7 days. This journey to K2 Base Camp is not an easy task. It is a journey of soul searching and that is why it is a place you must visit at least once in a lifetime.

K2 is quite challenging due to its sustained technical difficulities. It is sustained often described as a cone of ice and limestone. Furthermore, K2 is quite challenging for the climbers and has slopes of 45 degree angles.

Hunza is situated in Gilgit-Baltistan which is the extreme northern part of Pakistan. Hunza is 8,200 ft above the sea level. Hunza is a breathtaking scenery valley and very popular in tourists. Hunza people are very friendly and hospitable. In fact Hunza people are quite literal. Hunza is a mountainous valley has rivers, lakes, glaciers, and steep slopes all in one place. No doubt Hunza is an extraordinary valley.

It would be right to state that, Hunza is the most visited valley in pakistan by the tourists.

Deosai means “Land of Giants”. Deosai is located in Skardu, Gilgit Baltistan, 13,500 ft above the sea level. Deosai is a breathtaking tourist attraction in the second highest plateau of the world called Deosai Plateau. The Himalayan Brown Bear are the habitant of Deosai National Park . Deosai Lake has a magical beauty and can also be visited. It is one of the best tourist attraction in Pakistan. This place is for those who love wilderness. In short, this area is full of magical attractions.

Concordia (The Mountaineer’s Paradise) lies in the heart of Karakorum range. 4 out 14 of the worlds’ 8000s are situated here. Those tourists who don’t like climbing can come here and enjoy breathtaking views. K2 is also located here. The landscapes are really rugged and you must have sufficient experience of trekking before embarking on a journey to Concordia. Concordia is a popular spot for foreigner tourists.

Concordia is one of the world’s great treks with breathtaking scenery unsurpassed anywhere else in the high mountains.

The Leepa Valley is a far end of Azad Kashmir. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world and a must visit place in Pakistan. The pine forests, waterfalls, clear streams of water and uniquely built village houses give this serene valley an extravagant touch.. The jeep track from Reshian to Muzaffarabad is also really thrilling and absorbing. The most inspiring looks of this heavenly land are crafted by the local farmers in the form of terraced rice fields. Any view of the landscape where the lush rice fields are in front makes the worth of the photograph. Leepa Vally has a literacy rate of 97%, the highest in any town in Pakistan. In Leepa Valley, there are 26 villages, and the villages are surrounded by high mountain peaks. A river also flows in Leepa Valley. Its beauty cannot be described in words. Neelum Valley is situated in Azad Kashmir and is heaven on earth. It stretches 144km and is filled with dense forests. Places like Arang Kel, Sharda and Taobat are majestic in beauty and offer breathtaking view of greenery. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world and anyone visiting Azad Kashmir must visit this heaven on earth.

Snow Lake is popular spot for foreigners, who try to visit it in their visit to Pakistan. But because of the extreme hike and landscape, it is really difficult to reach Snow Lake. Snow Lake is located 16,000 feet above sea level. It lies in the Karakoram mountain range. Conway, a visitor, described Snow Lake as “beyond all comparison the finest view of mountains it has ever been my lot to behold, nor do I believe the world can hold a finer.” It is very difficult to reach there and only around 200 people reach there annually but those who do say its a dream.

Swat, “Switzerland of Pakistan” is one of the most beautiful places in Pakistan. Sawt is a very famous tourist place due to its scenic beauty. Swat is a place you must visit at least once in a lifetime. Located in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), Pakistan, Swat contains great natural beauty like mountains, clear rivers and lakes and green meadows. There is also a skiing resort in Malam Jabba for tourists. Swat is open for tourists all year. In winters, skiing competitions are held at the skiing resort.

Naran valley is located 119 kilometers from Mansehra. it is one of the most frequently visited areas of Pakistan in summer. Tourists, both local and foreigners, go to Naran to enjoy the picturesque valley and to escape from the summer heat in the south. There are many places in Naran which you can visit. There is the immensely popular Lake Saif-ul-Malook located here, along with the peaceful, Lulusar and Ansoo Lake. For peace lovers who like quite and wilderness, there is Babusar Top, Dudipatsar Lake along with many other places. The location of all these beautiful spots make Naran a popular tourist spot in Pakistan and definitely one of the places you must visit in Pakistan.
